Family Weekend!

Last weekend was one of those weekends that you come away from and wish you could do it all over again. We had such an awesome time together as a family and truly enjoyed every moment of the weekend together. Saturday morning we woke up and had breakfast and Maya and Daddy colored a little while we planned out our day. We decided we needed to get Maya stocked up with clothes and shoes since all of a sudden she doesnt fit into anything. We headed off to Target and stocked her up! Dad also picked out a bubble wand to use at the park later. After that DJ had his first Molbacks experience. We went and looked around and picked out a plant to bring to my Aunt who just had a friend lose his battle with Cancer. Maya fell asleep on our way to drop off the plant which was (I hate to admit) sort of nice because DJ and I got a chance to chat and drive on a beautiful sunny day!

After Maya's nap we headed to the park. We brought the bubble wand, fed the ducks and played on the playground. We had SO much fun being together. Feeding the ducks is always a little terrifying for me (I hate birds!) , so I sat back and let DJ and Maya have all the fun. Ha! While we were feeding the birds, across the lake I could see these 2 giant geese coming towards us. They were moving at rapid speeds! I said to DJ, "dont they look muntent, they are SO huge" Well, turns out they were not only big but mean too. They swam up and walked right up to us. They started hissing and squacking at us. Maya, who doesnt share my fear of the feathered friends, said "Mama I hug" and tried to hug the hissing geese. Needless to say, we grabbed Maya and ran.

After my traumatizing experience we headed to the playground to have some fun. DJ helped Maya up the structure and after she went down the slide turned to him and said "Come on Daddy" so DJ went down the slide too. He and Maya went down the slide quit a few times! Ha! He only came away with a few bruises but I think it was worth it.

Enough typing here are the pics from our day........

So cute, what an awesome start to the weekend!
By far the cutest recent picture of Maya....doesnt she look like a big girl!

I think DJ's face tells the story of this day...pure joy!

Watch out Maya they're getting closer. It was about at this time when I started backing away! Ha!

Thirty-One(derful)

Us girls took Cam out on Monday for her 31st birthday. We went to the Bothell Alehouse, right in downtown Bothell. This place is so cute and they have awesome food. We did what we do best which is chat, chat, chat. It was so nice to catch up with everyone and be together. Love you girls!

Cam has a ton more pictures so when she sends them, I'll put those up too!

I scream, U scream, We all scream for ICE CREAM!

Its 60 degrees here in Seattle. Its sunny and beautiful and get this......IT'S FEBRUARY! We are taking full advantage of this weather we are having. On Monday since it was President's Day and I had the day off, we took Maya and Preston to McDonald's and met up with Bawa and Auntie Tay Tay and Nae Nae. We had some lunch and then headed to the park to enjoy the sunshine. Of course Uncle DJ had to hook all the kids up with ice cream.....

Stay tuned....I think we are heading to the zoo this weekend! :)

Happy Heart Day!

Seriously I tried to take this picture numerous times this morning. I was trying to capture just how adorable Maya looked today but it was too early to be smiling her usual smile. Check out the girls shoes. Ha! So cute!

Its the little things that make me smile.....

First Haircut

Maya had her first haircut last weekend at Bella and Max in Country Village. We woke up Saturday morning and headed first to the Country Cafe. The waitress that we had was so sweet and the food was pretty good too! After breakfast we went and walked around Country Village a little. It was still too early for the shops to be open so we went and explored. We fed the ducks, chased the Roosters, checked out the put put course and played on the playground. I was a little nervous because I didn't know how Maya was going to react to getting her hair cut but she did awesome! Bella and Max was so accommodating to kids, they had toys and put on a movie for them too while they were getting their hair cut. Oh and the coolest part is the seat that they sit in to get their hair cut is a car. SO cool! Maya wanted to sit in all of the cars! With every haircut they give you a ticket to ride on their train. It was kind of rainy when we went but we'll be back to take a train ride and chase some more Roosters!

I took a ton of pictures....
