Family Day

Maya blowing back at the wind.....so cute!

Mama and Maya

Daddy and Maya on the beach (she loves being on his shoulders!)

My three loves....DJ, Maya and the Ocean

I'm not sure what Maya is doing in this picture?

My attempt at a family picture

I think the wind was a little too much for Maya! Ha!

DJ was saying something to her and by the looks of it she was listening very intently!

Maya stuffing her face with a free cookie from Safeway. Do you remember those? That was the highlight of going grocery shopping when I was a kid, a free cookie! ha!

Saturday Me, DJ and Maya decided to get out of the house and head over to Edmonds beach. It was a typical Washington day and the weather could not make up its mind. When we were heading down there it was partially cloudy but the closer we got to the water the sunnier it got. Then we went out on the beach and it was EXTREMELY windy! So, we didn't last long but it was still fun to get outside and enjoy the fresh air. We strolled the beach and Daddy picked out a few shells for Maya, we then took her up to the park and played a little then headed out. We stopped by the store and got a few things for dinner. We made an awesome crock pot concoction of Korean Ribs. It turned out great! Hopefully our next trip we make to the beach wont be so windy but otherwise it was a great Saturday spent with my family. It doesn't matter what we do together, we still have a good time no matter what!

Michael's Baptism

In the car, ready to go!

Doesnt she look so pretty (The dress is from Nana and Auntie Shonna)

Uncle Michael with his nieces

Sunday, Maya and I went down to the Puyallup Assembly Hall to watch Uncle Michael get baptised. Her and I got coffee and snacks for the day before we headed out. The drive was so nice because we FINALLY saw some sun here in Seattle! Maya fell asleep both ways to and from Puyallup so that was nice since I couldn't really entertain her to much while I was driving. After Michael's baptism we headed home, took naps, then got ready and met the family at PF Changs for dinner. It was a wonderful day and we are all so proud of Michael and his dedication! We love and support all of our family! Love you guys, Miss you! (they are all in Disneyland right now and we miss them terribly!)

Family Day

Maya gettin down with some french fries and Red Robin

Big fry for a big Baby!

We had a great family day all of us together! We first went and visited Travis, DJ's friend, in the hospital since him and his girlfriend just had their second child. We brought them a gift and stayed for a short while and visited. We then stopped by Stacie's house and said hi for a minute. Grandma was there recovering from surgery so we didn't stay long. Then we went down to Red Robin for lunch and headed over to Ross for a few things that we needed for the house. It was a great day, beautiful outside, and we were blessed to be able to spend it together as a family!

Oklahoma Love

Maya and Bob. We LOVE Bob!!

Daddy's foot, Maya and Bob (aren't her pj's so cute!)

Today Maya received a big package from her family in Oklahoma. Her Nana, Auntie Shonna, Shawn and cousins all live there. Her birthday presents consisted of a TON of cute outfits and a little stuffed animal. When we took everything out of the box I handed it to Maya to check out her new stuff. I gave her the dog and she looked at it and said "Bob". So I guess we have named the dog that Nana sent and his name is Bob. I tried to get a few good pictures of Maya and Bob but Maya wont sit still any more. Here are the few shots that I managed. The pj's that she is wearing in the shot are from her Auntie too! Maya is so loved by both her Seattle family and her family in Oklahoma. I just wish we were all in the same vicinity so we could be together all the time.

A BIG thank you to Shonna and Nana for all the gifts! We miss you a ton and send our love to you all!

Blast from the past

Scotty ~ my favorite bartender!

Stac and Megan, being.....Stac and Megan

Mom and DJ sharing a big ole Margarita

I think he could pass for being Mexian, dont you?

The girls

Back in my single days I used to frequent Las Margaritas in Kirkland. Me and my girls would go there often because it was like we practically owned the joint. It was great, we could play our own cd's and the bartender, Scotty, would make us some nice strong drinks. Anyways, flash to present...a bunch of us went out for our friend Jamie's birthday a couple of weeks ago. We met up at her place in Issaquah then walked to the.....wait for it......wait for it.....local Las Margaritas! Where lol and behold my old pal Scotty is now the bartender at! We started off the night right with a few Scotty Specials which made our tummies all nice and warm inside. We then to the party to another local hang out for some karaoke, then called it a night. Time flew by and by the time I realized it it was already 2am! I really cant believe I lasted that long. Especially since I stopped drinking after Las Mas (since I was DD)
Thank you to Joss for watching Maya for the evening so we could go and have some fun with our Renton homies! ha!

A Maya Moment

Maya is definitely a Seattle girl! The other night I was carrying her up from the car and it was pouring down rain. I was trying to protect her from it but she kept squirming to get away from me. Since we were almost to the house and I need to get my keys out to open the door I freed one of my hands and stopped sheltering her from the rain. She instantly looked up in the sky and stuck out her tongue. All she wanted was to taste the rain. She had the biggest smile on her face. I thought it was a miserable, nasty, rainy day and Seattle and my little girl reminded me that any day with her is good. She makes me stop and realize the small things that bring me joy in this world. That is one of the many things I love about her.

She is also in LOVE with the show Hi-5! Have you ever heard of it? She is a girl after her Daddy's heart because all he watches is National Geographic and the History Channel and Hi-5 is on.....Discovery Kids! Ha! They are two peas in a pod I tell ya! Of course.....we captured the moment for all of you to enjoy as well.

Maya watching Hi-5

My two peas..in a pod! (look at Maya letting her gut just hang..ha!)
