Bawa bought the girls Pink Bunnies filled with Lavender, it worked like a charm on Maya! :)
This last weekend I took Maya over to the Lavender festival with Bawa, Taya and Nay Nay. For those of you who don't know what the Lavender Festival is you are missing out! It is located in the "Sun Belt" of Washington, which is why the Lavender grows so beautifully out there. It is always fun and this year it was especially fun because it was Maya's first experience. We stayed at a cute little house in Port Townsend. The house was built in the early 1900's. Located in "Uptown" Port Townsend it was close to the Saturday Market and restaurants and also had an amazing view of the water. I would have taken more pictures but my camera died the first day we were there! :( But I did catch a little of the essence of the Lavender Festival.
The festival takes place over a 3 day span. There are about 10 or so different fields that you can go to and also a street fair located in downtown Sequim. We only went to about half of the fields (only the good ones) but went to the street fair every day. At each of the fields there are different foods drinks and craft vendors and EVERYTHING is Lavender!!! It is a wonderfully relaxing weekend! It was really hard to leave that way of life over there it is so calm and peaceful, it makes you not want to come back to the hustle and bustle of reality.
