When I was a little girl I used to wear this little pink jacket. Bawa found it over at Mima's house the other week when we were over there, she thought maybe it would fit Maya. So we tried it on and it fits perfect. I will try to find a picture of me in the jacket but for right now this is Miss Maya modeling my pink coat from when I was her age. :)

Our weekend recap
Preston read us all a book. He is such a smart little boy and I am such a proud Auntie
Maya playing with her Grandmas
Maya and Preston making out! ha! I'm kidding. :)
The grandmas with all the kids.
This picture is a little blurry but I thought it was so cute of her smiling
Maya playing solo, she is quite independent!
Mima and her Grandbabies
I was trying to get a good picture to send to DJ's grandparents. They sent the toy that she has in her hands to her for Christmas and right now its Maya's favorite toy to play with. It plays "Its a small world" and Maya loves to dance to it!
Big Girl with the sippy cup
So BIG!!
Maya licking DJ's arm. I don't know why she was doing this but we were all laughing pretty hard!
Maya being cheesy
We spent most of the weekend together as a family. Maya has another cold so we stayed at home and were mellow for the most part. My car broke down again on Saturday so DJ and Mick spent most of the day fixing it while me, Maya and Bawa hung out. On Sunday night we went over to Maya's great grandma's house (my grandma). Maya wasn't feeling well but still managed to have fun with her Aunties, Uncles and Cousins...and of course the Grandma's! Yesterday was MLK day so I had it off. Maya and I had another cozy day at home other than taking her in to see the doctor. Since I had the day off I thought I might as well get her looked over before the week starts. Luckily the doc said it was just a cold and that hopefully she will just fight it off on her own. It was music to my ears when she said that both her ears and lungs were clear! Hallelujah!!!
Much love to the Mima and Bawa for such a nice get-together! Maya is so blessed to have Grandma's like you!!!
Oh....one more thing Maya has somewhat transitioned to a sippy cup!!!! We still give her a bottle at night but during the day she has her sippy. Our little girl is growing up!

Our Second Baby
The beautiful sound of our baby's heart beat
About a week ago I experienced a miscarriage. I have debated whether or not to post something but I don’t want that little life to go unremembered. That baby was and is a part of Our Journey.
Our second child graced us with its presence for seven short weeks. Our little one was there with me when I took my awful finals last quarter and he/she moved around to let me know I was not alone. That night was cold and raining and I didn’t want to be there, but the second I felt that flutter in my tummy I was ok.
DJ and I fell in love with the thought of our family growing and dreamt of the day when Maya would meet her sibling. Don’t get me wrong we were scared and overwhelmed with the news but planning and dreaming at the same time. We just couldn't believe that in a short amount of time our family of three would be a family of four. We were so excited.
Even though it was a short amount of time, I bonded with that little one and I know in my heart that I will hold my baby one day. Maybe not in 9 months like we had originally hoped. But one day I will meet that little one that I saw wiggling around in my belly during the ultrasound and that is when the hole in my heart that I feel right now will finally be filled.
Thank you for all your love and support throughout this time. I know many women go through this, but for those of you who know me know that I am a very sentimental and a VERY sensitive person, so this entire process was especially hard for me.

Britty and Michael's Anniversary
Cousins hugging it out! You can tell Maya has the Ladd head and Nay Nay somehow escaped that wonderful trait!
Best Friends!
Maya playing solo. Still got the rolls on the arms! I love it!
Last Sunday we went over to my Mom's for a fabulous dinner in celebration of Britt and Michael's 4 year anniversary. All of the kids had a blast playing together and it felt really good to be with everyone. DJ and I have been a little tapped out with Maya recently because she is really teething which has made her not want to sleep at night and grumpy during the day. It was a nice break to get out of the house and have the Bawa and Aunties love on Maya for the night. Plus seeing all the cousins all together is always entertaining!
Maya's first french fry
Hangin with Dad
So we actually eat pretty healthy in our house but the other day DJ was craving a whopper from Burger King. So while I was out I picked one up for him along with some french fries. We decided to give Maya her first french fry and of course she loved it! My mom was always pretty health conscience with us and I am the same way with Maya, so it was a nice treat for her.
